CORE 1st Birthday Celebrations at Parmelia House
Australia’s first co-working, collaboration and innovation hub for the resources and energy sector in the Perth CBD has turned one! What a year it has been for CORE. The vision for CORE was always to provide a space for the energy sector to provide the human enterprises of tomorrow and from the guest list at Thursday night at the Parmelia House lobby event the industry to takiing notice!
Since opening its doors at Parmelia House in July 2016, CORE has grown to more than 70 co-working and community members representing 40 organisations across the resources and energy sector and has hosted more than 200 events attracting over 5,000 attendees from industry.
CORE is building a global network of resources innovation hubs, with a number of international partnerships already established with Caterpillar Ventures in San Francisco USA, Fundacíon Chile in Santiago and most recently Station Houston in the USA.
CORE provides a physical co-working office environment, a facilitated network of innovators, curated activities and programs in a neutral space that enables operators, suppliers, researchers, entrepreneurs and start-ups to connect and collaborate with one another.
CORE CEO Tamryn Barker said we help create connections along the value chain, bringing together networks, knowledge and capability to collaborate and innovate on global resources challenges.
“We are especially proud of our start-up members for the awards and investment they have attracted during this time.”
“I’m also delighted to share our plans, including expanding our base in the Perth CBD and into Brisbane, growing our international network of global resources and energy hubs which we are pleased now includes Houston, and collaborating with new partners, including the WA Government,” Ms Barker said.
Being in CORE enables individuals and teams to be surrounded by innovation, start-up mentality and people, and to be part of the wider innovation and technology community.
